Bandar Lampung, October 4, 2026 — The Wonderfoody ITERA 2026 campaign was successfully held on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Tugu Adipura, Bandar Lampung. The activity organized by Himpunan Students of Food Technology (HIMATEPA) ITERA this was carried out in collaboration with the BPOM SunMorFE (Sunday Morning Fun and Education) from BBPOM Bandar Lampung in order to commemorate World Food Day. With the theme “Food Diversity of Sumatra: Exploring Diversity, Strengthening Food Rights”, this campaign successfully reached hundreds of community members who filled the area at Car Free Day Tugu Adipura.
The event began at 06.50 WIB with a warm and non-formal atmosphere in the midst of the crowd at the SunMorFE program of BBPOM Bandar Lampung. The presence of one main mascot and six typical Sumatran food mascots, namely Sate Padang, Keripik Pisang, Pempek, Bika Ambon, Mie Aceh, and Gulai Ikan Patin, became the main attraction that successfully attracted the attention of people from various backgrounds. Community enthusiasm continued to increase during the food socialization session and the distribution of the best Wonderfoody 2026 outstanding product, namely Kue Sapik, a Mocaf flour substitute with the addition of Purut orange peel, which took place, with many community members who were curious and asked the team directly about the product.
The entire campaign went smoothly and was officially closed at 08.30 WIB. This collaboration between HIMATEPA ITERA and BBPOM Bandar Lampung is expected to become concrete evidence that synergy between the academic world and government institutions is able to present creative, enjoyable, and directly impactful food education for the wider community.
