Lampung – Lecturers of Food Technology attended an e-learning workshop on the campus of Institut Teknologi Sumatera (ITERA), held on Wednesday (May 23) and Thursday (May 24).
Online learning implementation is considered in line with the Government’s directive to welcome the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The online learning mode is an effort to boost human resource (HR) competence—in this case, the ITERA academic community—who will lead the nation in the future.
In his remarks, the person in charge of the e-learning workshop, Muhamad Abdulkadir Martoprawiro, Ph.D., stated that coordination among all parties is required to support the industrial revolution 4.0. “E-learning is only one of various solutions to face the industrial revolution, and the campus needs to improve other facilities related to this agenda.”

As part of the implementation of e-learning, ITERA Food Technology proposed 2 (two) courses to be delivered online for several sessions. The two courses are Physical Properties of Food Materials and Functional Foods. Intensive e-learning will be gradually introduced to the entire academic community.
Previously, ITERA already had a dedicated website for online learning, which is at http://kuliah.itera.ac.id/. With this intensive training, it is expected that the implementation of this learning model will be more optimal.
