Lampung – Through curriculum training, the Food Technology study program continues to improve itself to prepare the quality of graduates to be the best. The curriculum training was held on Saturday and Sunday (March 30-31) at Institut Teknologi Sumatera, featuring Dr. Ir. Muhammad Nur Cahyanto as the resource person, who is one of the members of the Bachelor’s curriculum drafting team by the Indonesian Association of Food Technologists (PATPI).

As the association of food technologists in Indonesia, the bachelor’s curriculum of the Food Technology study program must refer to the provisions required by PATPI. The formulated curriculum also needs to incorporate the values embedded in the higher education curriculum: (1) product downstreaming, (2) industrial revolution 4.0, and (3) the utilization of Sumatra’s resources, as well as encompass the main profile of the study program’s graduates, which is to become a Food Technopreneur.

During the activity, Mr. Nur Cahyanto also highlighted the importance of the curriculum in the study program’s accreditation process. A well-structured and clear curriculum will facilitate graduates and employers in their future careers. Furthermore, the study program of Institut Teknologi Sumatera will continue to carry out continuous improvement to enhance quality over time. (HAP)
